Important Clarifications
Our Relationship with cTrader
We want to be completely transparent: We are not affiliated with cTrader or Spotware Systems in any way. We have no partnership, sponsorship, business relationship, or agreement with them whatsoever.
cTrader is simply the trading platform we selected to build our bots on because of its technical capabilities and reliability. Our choice to use cTrader is purely based on its features and suitability for automated trading.
- ✗We are NOT sponsored by cTrader
- ✗We do NOT have any commercial relationship with Spotware Systems
- ✗We are NOT official partners or resellers
- ✗We do NOT receive any compensation from cTrader

Common cTrader Questions
Can I use cTrader on Mac or Linux?
cTrader Desktop is Windows-only. However:
• You can use cTrader Web on Mac/Linux for monitoring
• You can run Windows in a virtual machine (Parallels, VMware)
• You can use a Windows VPS to run the bots remotely
• cTrader Mobile works on iOS and Android
For running CRS BOT: You need Windows (native, VM, or VPS).
Is cTrader free?
cTrader platform itself is free to use. You only pay:
• Trading costs to your broker (spreads, commissions)
• CRS BOT license fees
• VPS costs (if you choose to use one)
There are no additional platform fees from cTrader/Spotware.
Can I run CRS BOT on demo accounts?
Yes! We strongly recommend testing CRS BOT on a cTrader demo account first:
• Most brokers offer free demo accounts
• Practice installation and setup
• Verify bot performance with your broker's conditions
• Build confidence before risking real money
How many bots can I run simultaneously?
cTrader supports running multiple cBot instances at once. You can:
• Run all 6 CRS BOT variants simultaneously
• Run multiple instances of the same bot on different accounts
• Combine CRS BOT with other automated strategies
Limitation: System resources (CPU, RAM) and broker restrictions may apply.
Do I need to keep cTrader open?
Yes. For CRS BOT to execute trades:
• cTrader Desktop must be running
• You must be logged into your broker account
• Internet connection must be stable
• Computer/VPS must be powered on
This is why many traders use a VPS for 24/7 operation.
